The answer: a clever television production technique called split screen projection.

Although the public may have been unaware, they were subjected to the effects of a well-developed television production technique, one which allowed the duplication of an actor’s appearance within the same camera shot, or to achieve a seamless composite of two separate images.
In each case – during the Tonight Show episode of 1998 starring JFK Junior and the presidential debates of 2020 starring “Donald J. Trump” and “Joe Biden” – the public witnessed a cleverly conceived visual illusion, an advanced television and movie production technique, which allowed for a pair of fabricated character schemes, while portrayed by an identical host actor (live-action role player), to appear together and, though they were made to appear as different people, they appeared seamlessly within the same shot and from identical camera angles.

A single question looms, however: how did the investigators – in each case – surmise the pilot’s physical condition, particularly considering, there were no survivors and, therefore, no corroborative or verifiable testimonies from which to draw such investigative conclusions?
